OUR PRACTICE

Our pieces are produced in limited quantities, with makers we trust, from materials worth wearing.

MAKERS

Chosen for their specialisation, we liaise directly with all of our factory partners. The fabrics we use are all custom translations of our original artworks, each requiring its own expertise. Part of our sustainability commitment is rooted in the craftsmanship itself — our partners are the best at what they do, crafting pieces to accompany you for years to come.

All of our factory partners are SMETA audited — a globally recognised social audit that assesses working conditions, fair compensation, discrimination, overworking, and forced labour.

Our Indian partner holds Fair Trade USA certification, one of only 16 manufacturers in India to do so.

MATERIALS

We work exclusively with natural fibres and recycled materials. All of our fabrics are OEKO-TEX certified — tested for harmful substances across the full production process, including dying and printing.

Our swimwear requires a more technical base to maintain its shape and water resistance, so we’ve chosen recycled materials to minimise impact without compromising functionality.

For more detail on the materials used in each piece, visit the Impact tab on the individual product page.

CLIMATE

We offset 100% of our emissions through Change Climate, who independently calculate, verify, and certify our total footprint — from production and shipping to operations. We are also proud to partner with Greenspark, planting one tree for every order placed, helping to make a tangible, positive impact on the environment.

PACKAGING

Our packaging is designed to leave as little behind as possible. Swing tags, boxes, and mailer bags are FSC recycled paper — recyclable via your curbside bin. Garment bags are 100% compostable and biodegradable, disposable in your home compost or curbside recycling when you're done with them.

OFFCUTS

Up to 30% of global textile waste is generated at factory level through offcuts alone. As our towelling robes became one of our most loved pieces, we looked closely at the waste produced in their construction — the way robes are cut inherently generates offcuts — so we began finding ways to use every piece, turning excess into other products rather than sending it to landfill.

MAKE DO AND MEND

Repair has always existed where clothing was considered worth keeping. Mending interrupts the cycle of consumption, and we'd always rather you keep wearing something than replace it. If a piece needs a little love, reach out to us within a reasonable time of purchase and we'll cover the cost, or send you what you need to fix it at home. Our clothes treat you well, repairing returns the favour.
